Mervyn's exciting What's Your Focus assembly has been popular in secondary schools and sixth form/ colleges in motivating students in exam preparation. and has received outstanding feedback from both teachers and students Other assembly topics include "What's Your Value?", "Maska, The Truth Behind the filter, "Makign the Most of Opportunities and Accepting Self Acceptance. COACHING   The academic journey for a student can be the most exciting! However it can also be a challenging and daunting for a teenager making sense of their lives. The aim of coaching is to support students to bridge the gap between where they currently are and where they would like to be academically Interactive and creative personal coaching sessions with students can be carried out with students on a one a one to one basis, in pairs or in small groups Positive outcomes are achieved by helping the student to set goals related to their academic progress with a focus on emotional intelligence. Together couch and student identify the obstacles to achieving these goals and create problem solving solutions for success. During the fun and enjoyable weekly coaching sessions, the students progress is monitored and fed back. The coach cheers on the student every step of the way with the mind-set to stay motivated and committed to succeed) WORKSHOPS   The Here on Purpose Workshops offers a creative and enjoyable tailor-made approach to raising aspirations and standards for young people. The content and group activities identify and challenge mind-sets that can create interference between their abilities and them reaching their full potential These workshops specialise in empowering and equipping young people with practical and memorable tools to identify their purpose, change their behaviour to create confidence and defeat the thinking that can prevent success. After spending over 10 years working with prisoners at HMP Feltham Young Offenders, Mervyn is renowned for having the ability to build rapport and engage with even the most challenging groups.
